Welcome Message From the Principal
Dear Grace Thille Families,
It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that I write this letter of introduction to you as
the new principal of Grace Thille Elementary School. It is a special honor to return to
the school where I began my teaching career 20 years ago. Throughout my time at
this district, I have spent the majority of my years at the elementary level, as a teacher
and reading specialist followed by the role of the Human Services Academy
Coordinator and more recently the Assistant Principal of Santa Paula High School. As a
Santa Paula High School alumni and community member, I am truly grateful for the
opportunity to give back to my community and look forward to continuing to be of
service.
One of the most important aspects of my role here at Grace Thille will be building
strong relationships with our students, staff and families. I am very passionate about
how students learn best and setting strong foundational skills. In collaboration with our
staff, we will work diligently to expose our students to rich educational experiences that
are both engaging and challenging. We welcome your input and encourage your
involvement as our parent partners as we strive to provide our students with the best
possible education. Please save the date for our first monthly Coffee with the principal
scheduled for Friday, August 30th at 8:15am.
I look forward to meeting you and working with you this upcoming school year!
Sincerely,
Betsey Chavez
